Since its introduction in PostgreSQL 10, logical replication has been continuously evolving, attracting more contributors to enhance its capabilities. As the system expands in size and functionality each year, contributors may face challenges in accurately reviewing or designing new features.
Our team has been actively involved in reviewing and developing new logical replication functionality for over 5 years. In this talk, we will share our insights and the knowledge we have gained from writing and reviewing patches for logical decoding, replication, and related DDLs. This session will also include a brief introduction to logical replication.
Our goal is to familiarize more developers with its implementation, thereby encouraging more involvement in improving it.
